SLCC Offering ACT Prep on Saturdays in Lafayette, Crowley

South Louisiana Community College has opened registration for a new ACT Prep course to prepare for the April ACT exam. The course will be offered on Saturdays from 9a.m. – noon at SLCC’s Lafayette and Crowley campuses starting February 15, 2020.

The tuition for the course is $225 which includes the Cambridge ACT study guide.  Registration is available online at bit.ly/SLCCACTPREP.

“SLCC’s Corporate College is offering an ACT prep course to ensure all high school students have an opportunity to increase their ACT score,” said Nancy Roy, Outreach and Engagement coordinator for SLCC’s Corporate College.  “An increase in an ACT score can make a difference for TOPS. Students must submit ACT results and achieve a minimum score to qualify for different levels of funding.”

The ACT is a standardized test used for college admissions. The ACT test covers four academic skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science reasoning. It is accepted by all two-year and four-year colleges, as well as universities in the United States.
