TEAS TEST prep (online)

These online courses are designed to help you prepare for the TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) Nursing Entrance Exam. The prep courses will review all the major topics covered on the TEAS examination:  Mathematics & Science, English & Reading, or all four topics.

Notary EXAM PREP

Are you interested in becoming a Louisiana Notary Public? In our Notary course, students will learn the skills necessary to pass the Louisiana Statewide Notary Exam. This course covers the unique system of law and courts in our state, as well as, basic notarial functions, such as drafting donations, acts of sale, contracts, conveyances of real property, testaments, small successions, and business entities. Students must purchase the Secretary of State’s book, “Fundamentals of Notarial Law and Practice." The cost of the study guide is $100.

Mental Health First Aid

More than 20 million in the US experience a mental health challenge each year. How do you recognize when someone is going through mental health challenge?

The Mental Health First Aid course uses curriculum from the National Council of Mental Wellbeing to help you recognize the signs and symptoms that suggest a potential mental health challenge.

Some of the skills you will learn how to:

• Identify the impact of mental health and substance use challenges on the well-being of adults
• Apply the 5 steps of the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan
• Refer some to appropriate professional support services

This is a full-day course that can be taught completely online or through a hybrid model where you will complete some reading online before taking part in the interactive, in-person class.

Virtual: 2 hours self-paced + 6.5 hours of online, instructor-led training
Hybrid: 2 hours self-paced + 5.5 hours of in-person, instructor-led training (This is the most popular model.)
In-Person: 7.5 hours of in-person, instructor-led training
