Center for Minority Excellence
The Center for Minority Excellence (CME) is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Education to improve the educational outcomes of African American students at South Louisiana Community College. The program provides participants with support services designed to encourage, promote, and motivate successful completion of their educational and career goals. The program staff will help participants achieve academic and social success by equipping them with the resources to earn their degree and allow them to flourish beyond academics and into their career field of choice.
Eligibility
To be eligible for the program services, participants must be:
- African American
- Enrolled in classes at SLCC
- Interested in improving their educational outcomes
