Center for Professional Development

The Center for Professional Development at South Louisiana Community College cultivates personal and professional excellence through transformative learning experiences.

We achieve this by promoting a people-centered approach to best serving each other, our students, and our communities. Through professional development and training, the CPD will produce well-rounded, informed college-wide constituents with a strong sense of professional identity, personal growth and responsibility to the community. The center is an active partner inspiring all stakeholders to share a mutual responsibility to engage in learning that is purposeful, inescapable, and the norm at SLCC.

The new CPD will serve as the hub for professional development and personal enrichment activities for SLCC faculty, staff, and administrators. The CPD will provide a wide range of resources to the entire SLCC community through streamlined practices that promote the highest levels of teaching, learning, and service. We will encourage college-wide collaboration to nurture a culture of Everyday Excellence and advocate our Core Values.
