MARITIME


Our Maritime program, within Economic & Workforce Development, provides specialized Coast Guard-approved classroom instruction and practical training to prepare students to obtain a variety of documents, licenses, and endorsements issued by the U.S. Coast Guard, including Safety Training. These credentials are required for many jobs available in the Maritime field. 

Whether you are new to the Maritime and Transportation industry, an experienced tradesman, or a business looking to train or refresh your team’s skills, our Maritime program can help.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Maritime classes are held at SoLAcc’s Marine & Petroleum Safety Training Center located at 3225 Youngs Rd. in Morgan City.

  • Marine Captain/Mate: $119,620
  • Ship Engineer: $92,660
