Students Compete at SkillsUSA

South Louisiana Community College (SoLAcc) is celebrating another successful appearance at the 2026 SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference, where students competed among the nation's best career and technical education students June 1–5 in Atlanta, Georgia.

SoLAcc and UL Lafayette have created another path for students to earn degrees from both institutions The new agreement enables graduates who hold associate’s degrees in Health Studies from SoLAcc to apply 55 course credits earned at the community college toward UL Lafayette’s 120-credit hour bachelor’s degree in Health Services Administration.

These incredible low, or no-cost classes are designed for middle and high school students throughout Acadiana who wish to gain hands-on training, career-ready certifications, or even college credit!

South Louisiana Community College is proud to announce the names of students who achieved Chancellor and Dean’s list status for the Spring 2026 semester. Each semester, SoLAcc recognizes students who have attained a 4.00 GPA for all coursework taken at one of SoLAcc's campuses and/or online during a 12-credit-hour or more semester.

Maraist Family Foundation donates to Foundation for SoLAcc

The Foundation for SoLAcc (South Louisiana Community College) has received a $15,000 gift from the Maraist Family Foundation to establish the Maraist Family Foundation Endowed Scholarship in Workforce Programs, creating new opportunities for students pursuing high-demand careers across the region.
