'Pioneers of Nursing' Print Donated to Nursing and Allied Health Division

Mary Broussard (second from right) recently donated a limited-edition “Pioneers of Nursing” print by artist Todd Treadway to SLCC’s Nursing and Allied Health Division.

This print depicts the strength and pride of nursing five founding women (Dorothea Lynde Dix, Florence Nightingale, Clara Barton, Mary Eliza Mahoney, and Clara Louise Maass).

The print will be displayed in the reception area of the Nursing and Allied Health and STEM administrative area in the College’s Health and Sciences Building.

From left: Lana Fontenot, associate vice chancellor of institutional advancement; Dr. Jeanine Thomas, associate dean of nursing and allied health; Graci’Ana Breaux, skills lab and simulation coordinator and nursing instructor; Mary Broussard; and Shawndolyn Lebine, nursing instructor.
