Our Gulf Area Campus offers both hands-on training programs as well as associate degree programs. Located right off LA Highway 14, it is home to two programs only offered in Abbeville: Industrial/Agriculture Mechanics Technology and Cosmetology.
Students in IAMT are learning to repair farm equipment and are ready for the workforce after three semesters. Our cosmetology students learn the latest techniques in hair and makeup, as well as what it takes to operate a salon.

The TRiO Educational Opportunity Center (EOC), a U.S. Department of Education initiative hosted by SLCC, is a program that offers free assistance to adults (19 and older) with a desire to earn a high school equivalency certification (HiSET), enroll in a college or university for the first time, or return to a college or university to complete what they started, all in an effort to earn a post-secondary education degree or certificate.
