Pangaea Issue 2023-2024

2023-2024 Issue

Editor's Note: We are excited to feature the creative work of South Louisiana Community College students in the latest issue of Pangaea. We are particularly proud of the 2023-2024 issue, as it is the first one to come out after the pandemic hiatus. As every year, the editors, Erin Breaux, Dr. Oana Chivoiu, and Dr. Mark Larue, have selected the best submissions in the categories of fiction, poetry, and visual arts. Samantha Richardson and Dr. Adam Maillet helped in the final phase of proofreading. This year’s choice for the best fiction submission is the short story “The Heist” by Charlee Melancon, a story about rebellion and adventure. The poem "When You Wish Upon a Star" by Haley Edmiston is a reflection on resilience and finding meaning. Christian Benoit’s photograph “Moments in Between” is featured on the cover with a contemplative capture. This year’s issue would not exist without the work of Madeline Paige Broussard who has created and executed all the technical and design details of this issue. Thank you to all who have contributed to this year’s issue of Pangaea. Please enjoy!
