Employee Giving: THANKS+GIVING

2022 CASE
CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE AWARD WINNER!
From the Judges:
"Excellent commitment to building the culture of philanthropy from within and producing tremendous results in terms of participation rate. We were very impressed with the 76% participation rate and the creativity of the Pie It Forward campaign. The results were more impressive considering it was done in a week-long program. This campaign can certainly serve as a model to be replicated by other institutions."
Giving that goes beyond the transactions. The SLCC Foundation is so grateful for the work you do each day. Beyond giving deeply of yourself, each year SLCC employees generously support the mission of the college by participating in the employee giving campaign. The generosity of donors like you, has enabled the Foundation to provide incentives including annual academic department scholarships, emergency and hurricane relief mini grants for students and employees, sponsorship of employees in parish leadership programs, and more.
We invite you to be a part of employee giving week and support a project that is meaningful to you. This employee giving week, join us in reinforcing a culture of gratitude and thanks – where our transactions transform.

Our goal is participation — every gift is truly important! The SLCC Employee Giving Campaign shows the power of each individual. When one person’s gift adds to another’s, and another’s, together, our gifts add up to a significant amount.
In appreciation for your support, the SLCC Foundation will recognize you on our website and in the annual report. However, the amount of your gift will be kept confidential. If you wish to give your gift anonymously, you may designate so on your donation form.

SLCC Sustainer’s Circle donors participate in our annual employee giving program at the highest level and have committed to giving $500 or more to the foundation throughout the year. These funds help us provide even more scholarships, emergency funds, and assistance to our students, employees, and college. Each year, the supporters will gather to celebrate their joint work with testimonies from students who have benefited from scholarships, emergency funds, and more. Members will receive a pin for them to wear to showcase their commitment to SLCC.

The Employee Giving Campaign is a great opportunity to make a gift in honor or in memory of someone special to you. At your direction, we can send notice of your gift to the honoree or family members of your choice. You may consider directing your gift to one of our many funds established in honor, or in memory of SLCC employees, retirees, alumni and students. Examples include the John Wright Memorial Scholarship, the Craig Strain Memorial Endowed Scholarship, and the Micah Craven Memorial Scholarship.
You may also use funds to establish your own scholarship at SLCC. We have two employees who use their bi-weekly contributions to total an annual scholarship, SLCC’s Lt. Linda H. Brown Memorial Scholarship and Felton Charles Memorial Scholarship.
Deductions are after-tax, as federal law does not allow for charitable donations through payroll deduction to be deducted before taxes.
