UPDATE – Message from Nursing and Allied Health Division

Special Note…We've received several messages about the deadlines for our applications. Because of established state deadlines, we are unable to extend our deadlines.

A Message from the Nursing and Allied Health Division:

Effective Friday, April 3, South Louisiana Community College resumed processing of applications for the Practical Nursing and Registered Nursing programs.  We appreciate everyone’s patience and are pleased to be able to open the applications again.

Practical Nursing Updates (Application Deadline: April 23rd, 2020)

All applicants can request the Phase 1 evaluation using the link in the Applying to Practical Nursing packet found at www.solacc.edu/admissions.  Applicants will be notified via email if they do or do not meet the minimum requirements to apply to the program.  Those who meet the requirements will receive more information on how to upload the required documents, and a $20 processing fee will be posted to their SLCC account.  Because we are unable to provide in-person services at this time, we will accept electronically uploaded documents.

Those in need of updated standardized test scores should check the SLCC Testing Center website for available updates.  SLCC has been working closely with the testing agencies to bring online test access to our students as soon as it becomes available.

If you have already been notified that your evaluation results were available to be picked up in person, you will be notified via email of the result of your evaluation.  Inquiries can be sent to the campus you wish to attend at the following email address:

Registered Nursing Updates (Application Deadline: April 17, 2020)

All applicants should read the Applying to Registered Nursing packet.  The completed application form and all required documents should be uploaded by using the Registered Nursing Document Upload Form.

Inquiries can be sent to nursing.alliedhealth@solacc.edu.

TEAS test availability through SLCC can be found at the Testing Center.
