South Louisiana Community College (SoLAcc) has been named one of the nation’s Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs by The EDU Ledger in partnership with the American College Personnel Association (ACPA).
The national recognition places SoLAcc among 30 colleges and universities across the country recognized for excellence in workplace culture, staffing practices, and employee support within student affairs divisions.
“This recognition speaks directly to the kind of culture we are building at SoLAcc, one that values our people, invests in their growth, and understands that when our team thrives, our students do too,” said Chancellor Dr. Vincent June. “We are intentional about creating an environment where our employees feel supported, empowered, and connected to the impact they make across Acadiana.”
The Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs report is based on a web-based survey that evaluates institutions on key areas including family friendliness, salary and benefits, and professional development opportunities. The annual report highlights institutions that are leading the way in creating positive and supportive work environments for student affairs professionals.
For SoLAcc, the recognition reflects an ongoing commitment to its strategic priorities, particularly its focus on People and Student Success, ensuring that employees are equipped to serve students and communities at the highest level.

“Our student affairs teams are on the front lines of student success every day,” said Dr. Damian Glover, Interim Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. “This honor affirms the work we are doing to create a workplace where our employees feel valued, supported, and inspired to help our students achieve their goals.”
SoLAcc was formally recognized during the Most Promising Places to Work in Student Affairs Reception at the ACPA26 Convention on March 31, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland.
