National League for Nursing has selected Barbara Morgan, MSN, BSN, RN, CNEn, South Louisiana Community College, for the 2026 NLN Leadership Academy for Social Determinants of Health and Social Change.
Morgan will join a distinguished national cohort of nurse educators for the year-long professional development program, which begins with an orientation February 23–24 in Washington, D.C. Overseen by the NLN Center for Transformational Leadership, the academy equips participants with advanced leadership skills focused on advancing health equity and addressing social determinants of health.
Chosen through a competitive application process, academy participants are recognized for their work in social change and their commitment to preparing future health care professionals to improve access and outcomes in their communities.
The NLN Leadership Academy brings together nurse educators from institutions across the country to engage in scholarly writing, research, curriculum development, and leadership development throughout the year.
