South Louisiana Community College (SoLAcc) is excited to announce its upcoming spring lineup of career-focused events, designed to help students, alumni, and the community prepare for success in the workforce. Hosted by SoLAcc’s Career Services, these events provide opportunities for networking, professional development, and career exploration across a variety of fields.

Nursing & Allied Health Career Fair

Students and members of the public who are interested in Nursing and Allied Health can meet directly with healthcare employers, discover job opportunities, and gain valuable insights into career development in these high-demand fields.
JC Penney Suit-Up Event
Date: February 24th
Time: 4PM-7PM
Location: Online & JC Penney store , 3125 Louisiana Ave, Lafayette
This event gives students, faculty, staff and alumni access to discounted professional attire to ensure they are interview and career-fair ready. At this special shopping event, shoppers can purchase career wear and other professional items including jewelry, beauty supplies, and salon services at a great price with exclusive discounts not available to the public.
Opelousas Career & Transfer Fair
Date: March 24th
Time: 9:30AM-12PM
Location: Opelousas Campus,
Find a position in Welding, Diesel, Industrial Elec, Electrician, Nursing & Allied Health, and Non-Destructive Testing. Attendees will be able to network with employers from diverse industries and explore multiple career paths.
