Tiffany Williams, SLCC’s Director of Financial Aid, has been named to Acadiana’s Top Twenty Under Forty for 2021.
Of the honor, Williams noted, “It feels amazing! I am humbled and thankful to be chosen as one of Acadiana’s leaders. It is an honor to serve and I am extremely grateful for the ability to use the gifts that God has given me to help build and strengthen my community.”
Williams and her fellow honorees have all been nominated by their peers and selected by a panel of community and business leaders for the outstanding work that they do for and within our region for a Better Acadiana. See the complete list of honorees here.
“This is an incredible honor and distinction for Tiffany’s hard work and commitment to serving the community both internally and externally,” said Dr. Vincent June, SLCC’s chancellor. “I could not be prouder of her journey and accomplishments. She is the epitome of great character, personality, team player, innovator, motivator, and hard work.”
Williams joined SLCC in 2015 as a Financial Aid Advisor. Since that time, she has held a variety of increasingly responsible roles as the department’s Federal Work-Study Coordinator, Manager of Operations, Assistant Director of Financial Aid, and interim Director of Financial Aid. In May 2021, she was promoted to Director of Financial Aid.
the705, a young professionals’ organization in Acadiana, will honor these 20 individuals on March 31, at Rock n Bowl de Lafayette. The event is open to the public and is presented by Advancial Credit Union. Tickets for the event will be on sale soon through the705.
