LAFAYETTE – South Louisiana Community College is hosting several job fairs in the coming weeks starting with two on Tuesday, March 12.
SLCC’s Corporate College is hosting their semi-annual Industrial Trades Job Fair on March 12 at the SLCC New Iberia Campus located at 908 Ember Dr. from 9 a.m. – noon.
The Industrial Trades Job Fair is an event focused on skilled tradespeople looking meeting hiring local companies. The Industrial Trades Job Fair is for truck drivers, electricians, millwrights, riggers, tankermen, plumbers, carpenters, HVAC repair professionals, power linemen, mason, and other skilled trades people.
Job seekers can register at the event, or save time by pre-registering. For vendors, this is a free event. Our only requirement is that you are currently hiring for skilled tradespeople. In addition, on March 12, SLCC’s Career and Testing Services will host a Career Fair at the SLCC T.H. Harris Campus in Opelousas. This event will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendors who are expected include: Acadian Ambulance Service, AMIkids Acadiana, Applus+, Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, Med Express Ambulance Service, Opelousas General Hospital, Pinnacle Financial Group, U.S. Navy, Waffle House, and Western and Southern Life.
