Fall 2018 List of Candidates for Graduation

More than 800 students were candidates for graduation from South Louisiana Community College for the Fall 2018 semester. This year’s Commencement ceremony was held Thursday, Dec. 13, at the Cajundome Convention Center.

For the first time in history, the college also recognized its Adult Education graduates during its Commencement.

Candidates for graduation are listed below by college. Many were honored for their academic achievements. These accolades include:

  • CHANCELLOR’S HONOR GRADUATES (**) Students with the highest academic achievement (a cumulative grade point average of 3.8 or higher) receive this prestigious award and wear gold honor cords during commencement.

  • HONOR GRADUATES (*) Students who earn a GPA of 3.5 to 3.79 are considered Honor Graduates and wear white honor cords during commencement.

  • HONOR SOCIETY (§) South Louisiana Community College is the home of the Beta Xi Omega Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) International Honor Society. This organization acknowledges and encourages scholarship among two-year college students. Students invited to become members are recognized for their academic achievements. At commencement, PTK members wear blue and gold cords.
