PHLEBOTOMY

Our short-term Phlebotomy Technician program lets you master real-world skills, in a fast-paced environment. You'll learn the basic principles of anatomy and physiology, diseases process, and gain the skills needed to collect blood specimens in a healthcare setting.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Phlebotomy Technician program is a 10-week course (8 classroom + 2 weeks clinical).

WHEN/WHERE

  • New Iberia (night): Starts on 10/13/25
  • Opelousas (night): 09/15/2025 - 11/14/2025
  • Lafayette & Online (day): 08/18/2025 - 10/17/2025

COST: Books and a test voucher for your Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT) are included in your $3,000 tuition. You may qualify for tuition assistance. Contact 337-521-9028 or workforce@solacc.edu for information.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 18+
  • High School diploma, GED, or HiSET

Whether you want to work in a clinic, hospital, nursing home, medical lab, blood donation center, or insurance company, SoLAcc will prepare you for life as a phlebotomist after graduation. You’ll even receive real world training at one of our Oschner clinical sites throughout the Acadiana area.
