Our short-term CNA program lets you master real-world skills, where you'll learn fundamental nursing skills needed to treat and care for patients through a mix of classroom and clinical experiences.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

WHEN/WHERE: 

  • Lafayette: May 20 - June 21 (night)
  • Abbeville: TBD (night)
  • Morgan City: TBD (day)
  • Ville Platte: TBD (night)
  • Opelousas: TBD (night)

DETAILS:

  • 6-week course 
  • 80 hours of classroom instruction.
  • 45 hours of hands-on clinical experience.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Age: 18+.
  • No High School, GED or HiSET required*

*A high school or HiSET diploma is required for most financial aid grant applications.

After completing the course, you will be eligible to take the Certified Nurse Aid exam.
 

JOB OPPORTUNITIES

  • Train to assist people in need of long-term healthcare.
  • Learn basic nursing skills required to meet the physiological, psychosocial, socio-cultural, and spiritual needs of clients in various healthcare environments.
  • Nursing Assistant training and experience will also put you on a career pathway to becoming an LPN or other healthcare professional.
