The Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities provides supports and services through a variety of locations throughout the state to support the dignity, quality of life and security in the everyday lives of people with developmental disabilities and their families, acting as the Single Point of Entry.

Social Security pays benefits to people who cannot work because they have a medical condition that is expected to last at least one year or result in death. Federal law requires this very strict definition disability.
The Arc of Louisiana is affiliated with The Arc of the United States, which advocates for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities on a national level. We also are proud to have 19 affiliated local chapters working to provide additional supports and services to families in communities throughout the state.
The State Personal Assistance Services program provides personal assistance services to people with significant disabilities to assist them with activities of daily living. Visit the website for eligibility requirements and to apply.
Louisiana Rehabilitation Services (LRS) assists persons with disabilities in their desire to obtain, maintain or advance in competitive integrated employment and achieve independence in their communities by providing rehabilitation services and working cooperatively with business and other community resources.
