Get the skills necessary to land a management position, run a small business, or continue your education.

The Associate of Applied Science degree in Business Administration covers a broad field of business fundamentals such as accounting, economics, finance, and marketing. Students learn both management and leadership skills. 

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

This program is offered at the Lafayette Campus.

Upon successful completion of general education and specific program courses, students will acquire the knowledge and skills to apply management, marketing and accounting concepts to improve operational performance and aid in decision-making skills.

Learn how to:

  • use basic accounting principles and concepts by completing a simulation of the accounting cycle; 
  • prepare a business plan;
  • apply written, oral, and nonverbal communication techniques;
  • apply ethical reasoning to business situations.

JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Graduates of the Business Administration program know how to communicate and use technology effectively.They also demonstrate knowledge of the legal, social, global, and economic environments of business.

Whether you want to work as a bookkeeper, office support specialist, customer service representative, or in management, SLCC will prepare you for life in business after graduation. Our Business Administration program also provides a strong foundation to continue onto a bachelor's degree at a four-year institution.
