Earlier this year, SLCC announced the formation of a DEI Council as part of the college’s commitment to providing a safe, positive, equitable, and inclusive environment for employees and students.
The Council has been meeting over the last few months to get organized and determine key initiatives. Torrie Johnson, IT network specialist, and Dr. Harmony Rochon, assistant dean of Allied Health, have been named co-chairs of the group. Over the next few months, we’ll be spotlighting the members so you can get to know the SLCC employees who will be leading DEI efforts on behalf of the college.
