Heating, Ventilation, AC, and Refrigeration
Start a career in HVACR in just 7 months with SLCC's short-term Heating, Ventilation, AC, and Refrigeration program. Our program introduces you to real-world skills in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, where you'll expand your understanding of installation, service, repair, and maintenance of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
- HVAC Residential/Commercial ($7,000 tuition includes book rental*):
- New Iberia (night class) August 19, 2024 - April 3, 2025
- Opelousas (night or day class): October 21, 2024 - June 5, 2025
- HVAC Residential (5,000 tuition*):
- Morgan City (night class): starts August 27, 2024

REQUIREMENTS:
- 16+
- No High School, GED or HiSET required*
*A high school or HiSET diploma is required for most financial aid grant applications.
JOB OPPORTUNITIES
Whether you want to work in residential or commercial HVAC, as an apprentice or service technician, SLCC will prepare you for life in HVAC after graduation.
Average Salaries:
- HVAC Installer/Repairer: $51,100
- HVAC Helper: $32,650
